My Journey

Hi, I’m Mary! This is Bambi, my therapy cow in training. Animals have this amazing ability to teach us and support us. I’ve grown up around animals and I love them all, big and small. I have a pair of adorable cats, too! Just like animals help us feel seen and safe, I’ve found deep meaning in creating that same sense of connection and support for the kids and families I work with. My passion is helping children ages 4 to 11 who are navigating ADHD, high-functioning autism, anxiety, or depression. I love partnering with kids, parents, and schools to build skills, boost confidence, and create meaningful, lasting change—at home, at school, and within.

My Work

Parents reach out to me when they notice their child is struggling to keep up academically, having a hard time making or keeping friends, acting impulsively, or frequently clashing with them over routines, chores, homework, or changes in plans. You might be seeing your child miss social cues, have big emotional reactions, or just seem stuck—and you may be feeling stuck, too, unsure of how to help them thrive at home and at school.

I work collaboratively with children and their families to create a space where kids can grow in self-awareness, emotional regulation, self-expression, and self-advocacy. I also coordinate with parents and, when appropriate, school teams to support IEP planning so everyone is on the same page supporting your child.

My sessions often focus on building skills such as:

  • Coping strategies and emotion regulation

  • Academic organization and daily routines

  • Social competence, confidence, and awareness

  • Impulse control and recognizing personal space

  • Identifying and expressing emotions in healthy ways

  • Asking for help and recognizing when support is needed

  • Developing self-esteem and a compassionate inner voice

Through our work together, kids begin to feel more confident in who they are and more capable in how they navigate the world around them. They develop tools to connect more meaningfully with others and experience a greater sense of calm, clarity, and control.

Parents notice fewer power struggles, more open communication, and a stronger, more connected relationship with their child. I'm here to support the whole family—not just the child—and would be honored to walk alongside you in this important stage of growth. Email me today to get started!

You and your child deserve a space where you both feel supported—where your child can be fully themselves, and you don’t have to have it all figured out.

In our work together, we’ll create that space—where feelings are welcome, differences are respected, and your child can begin to understand themselves with confidence and compassion. I’ll help your child build the skills they need to navigate challenges, express what matters to them, and feel empowered to ask for support. With the right tools and guidance, they can grow into themselves fully!
